I gave up on the crochet for now as the poor cotton yarn wasn’t going to be able to handle another frogging. So….I looked around and found the cutest pattern:
I did have to crochet around the neckline, so I did get a little practice in!
I’ve been pretty busy this year, but can’t say I’ve done anything special. I did finish a dishcloth and I have been teaching myself crochet.
The crochet is coming along s l o w l y.
I did finish one of Mr. Foster’s bathrobe sleeves. Totally screwed it up, but I’m going to have to ignore that and move on. I hope to have the robe done this weekend.
Other plans: Finish reading My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands and The Unforgiving Minute: A Soldier’s Education
.
I’ve started both books. My Horizontal Life is not the kind of thing I would normally read. It really is Chelsea’s recount of one night stands and sexcapades. At least it’s funny. The Unforgiving minute is a bit more my speed – a book about a man who went West Point out of high school and his life thereafter as a military officer. I have to admit I am a bit jealous as I had wanted a career in the Air Force as a JAG and I wanted to go to the Air Force Academy for college. Ah well, nothing like living life vicariously through reading.
I just love this new WordPress theme! It’s got my favorite elements…pink and clean.
I’ve been hanging out on Ravelry lately and found this fun new group. We’re going to have an exciting Goddess Doll swap. Can’t wait!
The dreaded scarf is almost done(!). My wrist is killing me, but I must finish it this weekend. I have to get it off my plate before I go mad. Pictures asap.
never a good idea….I know this, yet I can’t seem to help myself. this morning I woke up to several bad rows on the most enjoyable ribbed scarf and had to un-knit for quite awhile to fix it. yikes! I really really want this scarf to be done.
I’m looking forward to this year and all the projects I have to work on. I spent a great amount of time indexing my needles, projects, yarn stash and books over the last week and I feel organized and ready to tackle anything. 2010 promises to be a year of completion.
I hope to finish this scarf and start a mother bear. I’ve decided to try it using the Knit Picks CotLin yarn I have left from the spa kits.
happy new year to all!
