We got a Netflix account for Christmas and our first two movies arrived on Monday. The Bucket List was a lot better than I thought it would be. The second movie, The Notebook
was really good, but it was a lot sadder than I anticipated. I’d definitely like to get the book.

This is way too cute!
27 Decproductivity
It’s been a very productive weekend insofar as my two favorite hobbies go – knitting and reading. First, I completed logging my books into google books and I completed logging my needles, yarn and projects into knitminder. There are still some odds-n-ends yarns to enter in, but for the most part, I got it done.
I made a pact with myself to finish up all the UFOs I have sitting around this place in 2010!
At the top of the priority list – the first red scarf! I started it in August, 2008, so I think it’s about time I put it to pasture. Of course, I missed this year’s deadline, but I can at lease have it ready for next year. Next will be the purple Guernsey sweater I started about four years ago. Hopefully I can still find some of the yarn I need to finish it.
I also vow to read some of my never read bookshelf books and my wish list books. First up is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
26 DecBooks, Books, and More Books!
I got a new phone a while back (Sprint HTC Hero) and one of the apps I downloaded is the Book Mobile…so, today I entered every book I could find in the house. 181 so far. It’s really cool and syncs with Google Books. Having a phone with a bar code scanner is so neat.
I know I am missing some that are out on loan and I know that some are my husband’s books (but since this is a community property state, I figured it was safe to add them too and the bonus is that I can know what books he already has in the event I feel the need to buy him a new one). 🙂
After I spent the day adding books to google, I found www.librarythingcom. It hasn’t cleanly imported all my books, but since I just read that for the “free” membership you can only have 200 books, I guess that’s okay. I am not sure I need an “upgraded” membership. I like the google books just fine.
26 DecChirstmas is Over!
This, the day after Christmas, is a sad day for me as I really love the holidays. The presents are opened, the food is eaten, the mess is cleaned up (almost).
This year I knit some gifts, including Knit Pick’s spa kit.

I think they liked them, despite the flaws! I included a tube of Mary Kay extra emollient cream and Satin Hands Scrub, plus a little bar of handmade soap I found in Seattle.
My next task is to finish Mr. Foster!! I am still working on the tiny robe sleeves. I’ve also got a ton of other projects to finish. I wish there was more time….
