30 DecResolutions for 2019

I love the new year! I love to make new years’ resolutions because I like to go back and see what I thought was important and what I got done.

What should 2019 goals be? I’d like to make it do-able and relevant to this season of life. And, since I was supposed to do the Happiness Project starting last September, I will try to start it now.

Here it goes…

For the Mind

1) read at least one book a month from the 1001 books to read before you die list
2) use the Rosetta Stone Spanish program purchased in 2013 and finally installed on my computer
3) go to church regularly
4) write a book

For the Body

5) get to goal weight
6) workout 7 hours per week
7) do not eat foods on my allergen list
8) quit smoking

For Fun

9) go skydiving
10) knit from stash
11) golf
12) ride my bike
13) book trip to Hawaii
14) plan trip to Ireland

For the Home

15) install and organize overhead garage storage
16) complete 91 day de-clutter challenge
17) re-take and put into practice Financial Peace University

I was going to try and come up with 19 for 2019, but I can’t think of two more.

So, let’s see what I got done from last year…

For the Mind

1) listen to 26 TED Talks – I don’t know how many I listened to. They weren’t as helpful to me as I thought they’d be. From now on, I’ll just seek them out when there’s a topic I want to research.
2) Read 36 books – I read 152 as of this post. I may get 1 or 2 more in before the year is done…
3) work on learning Spanish – uhm, I did install Rosetta Stone… That counts, right?

For the Body

3) complete 80 Day Obsession and then ChaLEAN Extreme – I did 2 rounds of 80 Day Obsession! I didn’t complete ChaLEAN Extreme. I did complete a round of Shift Shop and LIIFT 4 though.
4) eat more whole foods – I did this!
5) work on toning – you can’t complete 80DO and not tone 🙂

For Fun

6) go to 6 concerts – I don’t think I went to any. The year is a blur though…
7) ride my bike, maybe even do a few group rides – the only bike ride I went on, I fell right away and took my back out
8) join golf club – I didn’t do this.

For the Home

I excelled in the home department!

9) install hardwood flooring upstairs
10) fix microwave situation
11) hang all the pictures
