28 DecRecap 2015

With just a few days left, the chances of finishing any of these is probably not going to happen, so I guess it’s that time of year again to review how I did on my resolutions:

For the Mind

1) read 152 books (increased from goal of 102 from last year – read 67 in 2012, 98 in 2013, 140 in 2014) – sadly, this did not happen. Only made it to just over 120
2) of those books, finish the BBC top 200 (so close!) – nope, I think I’m going to call this one good…I don’t really want to read most of the rest
3) use the Rosetta Stone Spanish program purchased in 2013 but never opened and learn Spanish – LOL
4) go to church more than once a month – no…  Didn’t make it.

For the Body

5) lose this last 12ish pounds and keep it off (make that 20 again – oops) – I gained 20, I’m pretty sure that’s the wrong way?
6) commit to 5 hours a week at the gym even if I can’t make it to a class and have to come up with a workout on my own – take Luke at least twice a week – uhm, not really, but didn’t do too bad. I’m claiming this one (not clear how #5 happened)
7) get the “twin” tattoo – no
8) limit eating lunch out to once per week –  ha ha, I think this one is coming off the list also
9) maybe give running another chance – no, didn’t do this either

For Fun

10) go skydiving – talked about it again
11) go to Vegas – no

12) knit from stash
– I did this
13) use the drop spindles and roving I’ve collected and actually learn to make some yarn – nope
14) take ballet lessons
15) do a date & paint night
16) golf once a week during good weather – how about once .

For the Home

17) use reusable grocery bags – at the very least at Red Apple – again, no. I don’t get why I can’t accomplish this one?
18) purchase and install and organize overhead garage storage – at least I get partial credit

19) Home Routine app daily (FlyLady basically)
– I didn’t do this strictly speaking, but I did do over 70 days of the 91 day challenge and was happy with the results. Also, we got the kids to do chores which is cool
20) decorate living room with paint and art and maybe new furniture if possible – nope
21) get curtains for basement
22) re-take and put into practice Financial Peace University – I did start this, but did not complete it
23) actually complete the crate project  – it’s good enough

Overall, I made pretty poor progress.  Here’s to 2016!
