I’ve thought about starting a blog for quite some time; however, I have never been one who is able to consistently keep a journal or diary or any such memoir so I figured it’d be yet another website I have started with absolutely no content. But, I digress. I have a new passion in life and that is knitting. Since I don’t know how to knit, I find myself constantly searching the internet for help on my projects and I have found that most of the help I come across is on someone’s knitting web blog. Not wanting to be left out, I thought it time to start one.
So, here it is. canonical.net was the very first domain I ever purchased. It was way back in 1996 or 1997 when Network Solutions was the only option and domains cost you your first born. At the time, I was getting ready to apply for law school and it seemed fitting given that canonical generally means “pertaining to, established by, or conforming to a canon or canons,” which in essence, are laws. That, and all the other domains I wanted were taken. I haven’t used it in ages as I have acquired more and more domain names, so I thought I would use it for this new internet endeavor.
Now that the pleasantries are dispensed with, I’d like to talk about my most recent projects. Over the long weekend, I painted 3 of 5’s room. This was her birthday present (which was back in April) but I just hadn’t quite figured out what to do with it. I think it turned out pretty darn cute if I must say so myself.

I also just finished the “Booga Bag” knitting project. I have come to realize that the reason I like to knit is because you can start something and finish it. In my line of work, I never really feel that something is “finished.” Knitting is a way to get some resolution of a thing. Nice!
I am now looking for a long sweater jacket pattern to use for the beautiful Rowan kid classic yarn I have been holding onto for almost a year.
I look forward to keeping up with the blog and getting to know some other knitters.
