I figured out what I bought the Knit Picks yarn for and now have lots of projects to work on. The pink is for this super cute sweater, the red and grey is for a Christmas stocking, and the purple is for some slippers.
Yesterday I started Mr. Foster Sock Monkey. Too cute!
My biggest problem is WIPs. I have so many it’s embarrassing. I got stuck on my Kimono sweater and really need some help, but no such luck yet. Anyone?
I got my new yarn order from Knit Picks today! The bad news is that aside form the super cute Mr. Foster Sock Monkey kit and the 16 balls of pink yarn for a sweater…I can’t remember why I bought the other stuff?? Oops. Guess I need to keep better notes about what yarn I buy for which project.
In other news…I’ve been home the last 2 days with a sick kid and I tell you, I needed this. I have been so sad since my Dad died that it’s been terribly hard to do anything. It was really nice to sit down and read a bunch of mindless magazines for a few hours. 🙂 Not that folks’ legal problems have gone away because I am sad, but hopefully I can return refreshed tomorrow.
If anyone has advice for coping with the loss of a loved one, I am all ears.
I’ve been a busy knitter these past few weeks! I finished the February hat I started in November and I started working on the Cables & Lace Kimono again. I got the left from almost complete; however, I have hit a snag and am not sure what to do now. Unfortunately, I waited so long to complete the project tat the original KAL site is gone. 🙁 I was hoping to browse again and maybe ask one of the other knitters what they did. Oh well.
Even though once again, foiled by the BIL and his handi-work (this year it was stitched-up fancy napkins), I think my MIL liked the turtle. I barely finished it on time and forgot to take a picture before I boxed and wrapped it.
I decided to start now of Christmas stockings for next year. My DH had to buy some on Christmas Eve at the dollar store because we couldn’t find any anywhere. I may also make knitted presents next year as well.
I’ve been busy this week knitting up a turtle using the Sheldon pattern from knitty.com (Winter 2006). He’s too cute. I ran into a yarn emergency though because 1 skein of the MC was not enough (and no, I did not check my gauge).
