08 AprCrates, may I never buy another one again and other musings… 

Spray can varnishing the last 10 crates for the “never ending crate bookshelf” reminds me of two things:  1) this sucks. It was a bad idea. I never want to stain and varnish another crate as long as I live; and 2) the time my dad took an ax to a can of spray paint because I wanted the marble inside. We were all covered in white spray paint. He was pissed and amused at the same time. He kept the brown, white spray paint spattered, cowboy hat for as long as I can remember. I got that marble. Dads are cool.
